Hitting the bazaars for the Holidays? The Circulo Verde Trunk Bazaar on Dec. 1 is one you don’t want to miss!
The Filipino Christmas experience is not complete without a trip to the bazaar. Bazaars provide a different shopping experience altogether: unique finds at bargain prices, food stalls, live entertainment, the works! Plus, it’s a chance to support small businesses and craftspeople. Not a bad way to spread the Holiday cheer, right?
Now take your love for Holiday bazaars and local showbiz and put them together? You get the Trunk Bazaar at Circulo Verde! The concept: sellers peddle their goods from the trunk of their cars instead of the usual stalls and tents. Add local celebs to the equation and you’re definitely in for a unique bazaar experience!
Here are just some of the celeb-preneurs you’ll meet at the Trunk Bazaar this year:

Nene Tamayo & Nene Prime Foods
Since her big win in the first season of Pinoy Big Brother, Nene Tamayo has tried her hand in many business ventures before hitting the sweet spot with Nene Prime Foods in 2011. From making Spanish-style bangus at home during holidays, now you can find Nene’s goods in ECHOstore, Sugarleaf, Bibliorganics, and of course, at bazaars. I guess you can say she’s a real Big Winner in business.

Nikki Valdez & Miss Buttercream
Actress Nikki Valdez may have stumbled into baking by accident but the sweet success of her cake business is no fluke. Nikki went from taking cake decorating lessons, to baking for friends before finally launching Miss Buttercream. Inspired by her own sweet tooth and love for parties, she started the business in 2015. According to Nikki, she is most fulfilled when clients send pictures of celebrations her Miss Buttercream cakes were part of.

Miriam Quiambao & Tubo Cane Juice
Since her Miss Universe stint in 1999, Miriam Quiambao has been pretty busy as a host, an author, an inspirational speaker– and a businesswoman? You read that right; this beauty queen is also the owner of Tubo Cane Juice, which specializes in sugar cane drinks. She stumbled upon the franchise during a trip to Cebu, which brought back plenty of childhood memories of going to the palengke and chewing on stalks of sugar cane.
Miriam has learned a lot from going through the ups and downs of owning a business but what she finds rewarding is being able to help others (her staff) make money and reach their own dreams.

Chx Alcala & Oohlalamang Bagoong
Another PBB alum who ventured into business is Chx Alcala. Aside from acting and hosting, Chx also owns Oohlalamang, which sells homemade sauteed bagoong. Best paired with hilaw na mangga, of course!
