If you’re still following stay-at-home orders and actually staying home more often as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, you might be wondering: Can I still order food or grocery delivery? And is it safe? 

The answer, for now, is yes: many establishments have remained open or have decided to reopen for takeout and delivery, and food and grocery delivery services have risen to the occasion.

With the community lockdown, keeping safe and healthy should still be the top priority. And while many of us have been enjoying homecooked food since the start of the quarantine period, there are days when we just need to take a break from cooking. Important things to remember when having food delivered:

• These food delivery services will be practicing no-contact delivery, so be mindful as well of social distancing when receiving your order.
• If you can, tip your delivery person, or offer them food and/or water as thanks. These gestures are greatly appreciated.
