Ortigas Malls: Dinner Date Ideas for Every Budget

Deciding where to eat in Ortigas is not an easy task. There are loads of restaurants scattered throughout the bustling area ranging from casual to luxury fine-dining. Luckily, there’s always something for everyone at Estancia, Ortigas. We rounded up 3 restaurants at different price points to help you and your date decide where to eat!

Casual Dining – Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken
Located at: Gastropub, Capitol Commons
Operating Hours: Open daily from 11:00 AM – 2:00 AM

Did you know that “Peri Peri” or the African bird’s-eye chili is a type of spice discovered by the Portuguese? It’s commonly made out of spice chili, lemon, oil, and red bell peppers. Have a taste of it in every serving of Peri-Peri’s charcoal chicken and their variety of sauces! If you’re a cheese lover, make sure to also order their grilled quesadillas that are filled with a blend of mozzarella and cheddar. For dessert, share the Torta Gorilla – a bed of graham crust, layered with lime cream and dulce de leche and topped with caramelized bananas & whipped cream.

 

Premium Casual – JiPan Cafe and Bakeshop

Operating Hours: M-Th: 11AM-9PM; F-Su: 10AM-10PM

When Japanese restaurant comes to mind, JiPan isn’t exactly the first thing you’re going to think of. Why? Well, it’s more widely known for its artisanal quality of breads. Luckily, they developed set menus that also offer authentic Japanese dishes. Their ramen also has quite the huge serving, one bowl is enough for 2 people. Just make sure to order the Chukarra Ramen, it has the perfect level of spice that will truly remind you of Japan. For sushi lovers, you’ll find a hidden gem in the form of their Crunchy Salmon Roll. This goes without saying, but their pastries serve as the perfect dessert to finish it all off.

 

Fine Dining – Florabel
Located at: GF, Estancia Mall
Operating Hours:  Open daily from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM

Florabel quickly comes to mind when you want something lavish to eat at Ortigas. In here, you definitely get what you pay for. The ambiance, staff service, and the food are all next-level. The Spicy Tuna salad is a simply a stunner; the flavors and colors of the summer fruits will keep you refreshed. The star of the entire show for sure is the Chef Florabel Yatco’s Award-winning Adobo, which includes a side salad and two pieces of lumpia. To satisfy your sweet tooth, go for the Queso de Bola cheesecake.
