Dine-in Musts: 4 Restaurants in Pasig for Mini Reunions

While the Christmas season is officially over, some still have a bit of catching up to do with their families and barkadas. However, it’s never too late to have a reunion if your Christmas plans didn’t push through. Below, we’ve got a list of restaurants in Pasig that serve the yummiest of dishes and are perfect for catch-up sessions.

KPub

Korean BBQ is the food trend that defined 2019. Entrepreneurs are coming out with new and exciting KBBQ concepts left and right. But what exactly has made KPub popular? Well, this Korean BBQ place has made quite a name for itself for its distinct, party-fueled atmosphere, complete with bright strobe lights, live music, and no-fuss delicious barbeque.

Unlike most KBBQ buffets, KPub offers ala carte serving for guests who have a low appetite. Meanwhile, hearty eaters can choose from 2 eat-all-you-can packages, but we recommend the most sulit option which is their 899 or No Limits package. This means that guests can enjoy unlimited servings of their favorite marinated meat (pork, beef, chicken, or fish) including premium dishes like Garlic Butter Shrimp, Calamari, and Fish Tofu with no time limit. It also comes with the usual banchan (side dishes) plus dessert!

If your barkada is looking for some high-energy entertainment coupled with a delicious and good selection of food, KPub really is the best place to go.

Harong by Kinuron

Do you have balikbayans or international friends that you’d like to impress? Head over to this restaurant in Pasig, Harong by Kinuron! “Kinuron” is a Bicolano word that means food cooked in clay pot. It is tradition in Bicol to cook using clay pots with firewood so as to keep the natural flavor and aroma of the dish. Besides this, Bicol is known for its spicy fare cooked in coconut milk.

So if your barkada is up for a spicy yet delicious challenge, definitely try the stand-out dishes of the restaurant: hot laing, pinangat na laing, and kinunot na page. But if you can’t take the heat, Harong also offers a variety of delectable grilled and sizzling seafood and pork dishes.

Tenya

If you’ve been on the hunt for some delicious ebi tempura that will make you say, “this tastes exactly what I had in Japan!” then look no further, Tenya is your answer.

Unlike regular and oily tempuras that you will find at buffets, Tenya has near-replicated the light and mouthwatering texture of the crispy dish, thanks to their top-of-the-line ingredients and machinery imported from Japan. The restaurant also offers ramen and sushi rolls for those who want a more filling chow.

The stars of their menu are the best-selling Asakusa Special Tendon and All-Star Tendon, both served with hot miso soup. Couple it with a bowl of sticky Japanese rice, dip it in their sweet and sticky dontare sauce and your tempura standards will never be the same again.

RACKS

Fall-off-the-bone, lip smacking baby back ribs that are not only delicious, but affordable? Sign us up! RACKS dishes and group packages are huge enough to satisfy 10 people.

Their Classic Pork Ribs are smoked for hours for the charred flavor and fork-tender texture that everybody loves. But the one, must-order dish in our opinion is the Onion Brick; it’s generously spiced and deep fried to perfection. Their regular and extra hot barbeque sauces are no joke either.

BONUS!

Shakey’s may be old, but it is a no-fail Filipino staple for big families and barkadas. Their thin crust pizzas, crispy chicken, and basket of mojos are addicting.
